By Corrective Sounds ApS
Corrective Sounds Academy was founded by Margit Andersson and Ellen Eriksen in 2001 with the purpose of spreading the knowledge of the Dawson Program method in Europe. Corrective Sounds have worked closely together with Cameron Dawson in developing the program and relevant materials from 2001 till his death, also with help from other dedicated people like Lars Ørrild.
The first courses in the Dawson Program was held in 2001-2003 with Cameron Dawson as the teacher. The courses by Cameron Dawson lasted for 3-6 days.
In the period after 2004 the founders of Corrective Sounds have been solely responsible for the development, dissemination and education of new Dawson Program practitioners.
Corrective Sounds have further developed Cameron Dawsons program so as to gain recognition by the Danish Kinesiologists organisation in 2004 with a course comprising 13 days of teaching.
In 2007 the course have been further extended to comprise 18 days of teaching over a period of typically 1-1½ years.
The course is divided into modules. Teaching and practice are under continual development to ensure the best possible skills and expertise by the practitioners.
